Sam Bergman, isn’t the only student at Saint Francis High School who is involved with multiple extra curricular activities. Bergman has been playing sports from a young age, influenced by his family. Perhaps not surprising because his mother is the softball coach for the Saints who place third at state last year.
“I play Football, Basketball and I also do track,” said Bergman.
As much as he likes his time on the field, court, and track, Sam says he often thinks about just wanting to get out, go fishing or spend time with his family.
“You feel like you run out of time kind of,” he said.
Sam is one of many captains on the Saint Francis Fighting Saints football team.
“I just keep the tempo up when everyone’s kind of down,” he said. “and doesn’t wanna try hard (to) keep up.”
Bergman says although he might not be the biggest “hype guy,” he definitely tries hard to keep the effort and keep everyone on top.
Sam says after High School, if the opportunity arose, he would love to continue this as a career, but he doesn’t know that it’s in the cards for him.
“In the end,” he said, “it is for sure all worth it.”
