Twas the Day Before Break and All Through the School…
SFHS keeps busy before break
December 23, 2014
Twas the day before holiday break, and St. Francis High School students and staff stayed busy with classes and a touch of celebratory spirit.
Going to school right up until Christmas Eve may have been a little difficult for students to handle when other districts like Cambridge and Anoka closed on Friday, but everyone seemed to make the best of it.
“I’m using my time today to tie up loose ends,” said Assistant Principal Jill Engquist.
Meanwhile, Yearbook staff had a holiday party after they submitted their page deadlines.
“Every year the last day before break we have a party – we have a gift exchange and lots of food,” said Megan Veenstra.
Students and staff dressed the part in their holiday sweaters.

Some students spent their final day out of school. Band and choir students were not on site, but were in the district for their “World Tour.” Each year on the final day before break, the music department takes students to tour to the elementary schools in the district.
Meanwhile, office aids ran passes, teachers kept an academic schedule,
gym classes kept up the pace,
some students and staff exchanged gifts,
and lunch staff served with a smile,
while visions of the upcoming break danced in their heads.
